Applied Research & Education Collaborative supports schools, universities, nonprofits, and community organizations through applied research and evaluation that help clarify impact and inform growth. Our work bridges data and practice, translating research into accessible insights that strengthen programs, learning environments, and community initiatives.

Creative Research & Community Learning

Our work brings research out of the abstract and into real communities, classrooms, and learning spaces. We collaborate with schools, universities, and organizations to explore what is working, listen closely to community voice, and design programs that are thoughtful, responsive, and grounded in lived experience.

Through applied research, program evaluation, and community-informed inquiry, we support organizations in understanding impact, shaping growth, and documenting outcomes in clear, accessible ways. This work often takes place through workshops, conversations, and creative learning sessions that encourage reflection, collaboration, and shared meaning-making.

Our approach is educational and research-informed, not clinical or therapeutic. We intentionally design learning environments that feel calm, engaging, and supportive, recognizing that creative processes, thoughtful structure, and collective learning can reduce stress and deepen understanding.

By bridging university-based research, education, and community practice, we help transform data into insight and insight into action—always centered on people, place, and purpose.

Research and evaluation services are led by Angela Benveniste, DSW, a psychology professor and applied researcher with a background in research design, program evaluation, and community-based learning initiatives.
